Ingredients:
1 cup cherries, dark; sweet*
2 tbsp basil, chopped fresh
1 tbsp green pepper, finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp lemon peel, grated
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp tabasco sauce
Instructions:
Pit and chop the fresh OR frozen dark sweet cherries and combine with
all other ingredients; refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve as a
condiment with chicken; turkey or pork. Yield: 3/4 cup. Diabetic
Exchange: 2 T = 1/2 fruit. Also= 22 calories, 59 mg sodium, 0 mg
cholesterol, 5 gm carbohydrate, 1 gm protein, and 1/2 g, fat. Recipe
